Connect social accounts

Connect your Threads, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook accounts to Posteady.

To schedule and publish posts or create a brand voice, connect a social account first. A connected account belongs to the workspace you are in.

Connect an account

Open the Accounts page

In the sidebar, click Accounts.

Pick a platform

Click the button for the platform you want. For a Threads account, for example, click Connect Threads.

Sign in and allow access

You go to the platform's official sign-in page. Sign in with the account you want to connect and allow access. Posteady never asks for your social media password.

Check the connection

When you come back to Posteady, you see "Account successfully connected" and the account appears in the list.

Things to know for each platform

  • Instagram: you can only connect a Business or Creator account. If you have a personal account, change the account type in the Instagram app first. You don't need a Facebook Page.
  • Facebook: you connect a Facebook Page, not a personal profile. After you allow access, pick the Pages to connect. Each Page counts as one account.
  • LinkedIn: you can choose your personal account, the company Pages you manage, or both. Each one you pick counts as one account.
  • YouTube: the Google account you connect must already have a YouTube channel.

Connect a second account on the same platform

The platform's sign-in page usually uses the account you are already signed in to in your browser. To connect a second account:

  1. In your browser, go to the platform's site (for example, x.com) and sign out of the current account.
  2. Sign in with the account you want to connect.
  3. Go back to Posteady and click the same platform's connect button again.

You can connect an account in only one place in Posteady. To move an account that is already connected in another workspace, see Move an account to another workspace.

How many accounts you can connect

Each plan has an account limit, counted across your whole organization. When you reach it, you see a "Usage limit reached" dialog. The organization owner of a paid subscription can buy more account seats. See the limits for each plan on the pricing page.

Reconnect an account

A connection can break when the platform's permission expires.

  • Threads, Instagram, LinkedIn: the Accounts page shows a notice such as "Threads Reconnection Required". Click Reconnect and sign in again with the same account. Your posts and data stay as they are.
  • Facebook: click Connect Facebook again to restore the broken Page.
  • Other platforms: if a connection breaks, please contact support.

Account numbers and groups

If you have many accounts, you can make them easier to tell apart. Click an account to open its menu:

  • Set number: shows a short number (up to 3 characters) instead of the profile photo.
  • Set group: groups accounts by client or brand. See Group accounts within a workspace.

Disconnect an account

Click Disconnect in the account's menu.

Disconnecting permanently and immediately deletes the account's analytics, scheduled posts, drafts, and brand voices from Posteady. If you only want to move the account to another workspace, use Move between workspaces instead.
