Client account connection

Connect client accounts
without their passwords

Invite your client with the Client role, and they connect their own accounts on each platform's official login screen. No passing around usernames and passwords, no waiting on two-factor codes.

The safest way to take on a client's accounts

Invite your client instead of asking for passwords. They connect, and disconnect, on their own.

No passwords handed over
Your client logs in and grants access on each platform's official login screen. Their password never reaches you or Posteady.
Two-factor stays on
Login alerts and verification codes go to your client's phone. No forwarding codes over chat, and no switching off security settings just to connect.
Clients see only their workspace
The Client role only sees the workspace it's invited to. Give each client its own workspace and other clients' accounts stay out of view, along with your team list, billing and credits.
Clean exits
When the engagement ends, your client disconnects their accounts from the Accounts page. No passwords to change, no shared logins to clean up.

You decide what your client can see

By default, clients can connect accounts and check results. Need them to do more? Switch on extra permissions when you invite them, or later from Change role.

Connect in 5 steps

You invite, and your client accepts and connects. Your client only needs steps 3 and 4.

  1. 1
    Agency

Create a workspace for the client

Give each client its own workspace. Clients only see the accounts and posts in the workspace they're invited to, so nothing gets mixed up between clients.

    Agency

Invite them with the Client role

Enter your client contact's email and choose Client as the role. Pick the invite email language, switch on any extra permissions, and send the invite.

Inviting clients with the Client role is available from the PRO plan. Invited client contacts count toward your organization's user limit; add member seats if you need more.

No. Your client joins your organization as a user, so they don't subscribe separately. Invited client contacts do count toward your plan's user limit.

The Client role only sees the workspace it's invited to. Give each client its own workspace and other clients' accounts, posts and analytics stay out of view. If several clients' accounts share one workspace, they can see each other's, so keep them separate. Your team list, billing and credits stay hidden either way.

Accepting the invite deletes the data in the workspace they were using (connected accounts, posts and drafts). They see what will be deleted before accepting, and any active subscription has to be canceled first. Inviting a different email address keeps their existing data, but each social account can be connected in only one place across Posteady, so an account they've already connected must be disconnected there before it can be connected to your workspace (its existing data is deleted along with it).

Once your client disconnects an account from the Accounts page, or revokes access in the platform's connected-apps settings, it can no longer be used for posting. You can also disconnect it yourself. Removing the client's user from the workspace doesn't disconnect their accounts, so disconnect them separately.
