Two ways to make short videos

Make something new with Reels/Shorts, or turn a long video you already have into clips.

Reels/Shorts

Create a new video with AI

AI writes a script from your source and gives every scene a visual, narration, captions, and background music.

Start from

  • Link
  • Your photos & videos
  • Your posts
  • Text
  • A topic
  • Files

How it's made

Long video → clips

AI clipping

Find the highlights in a long video and cut them into vertical clips, keeping the original picture and sound.

Start from

  • Video link
  • Video file · Google Drive

How it's made

  1. Find highlights
  2. Pick clips
  3. Captions · layout

Review the script first, fine-tune it after

AI drafts every part of the video. The final call is always yours.

Check the script first
Edit the AI script scene by scene and reorder it before the video is made. Skip narration to make a video with on-screen text and music only.
Narration in 11 languages
Choose from 152 voices and set the reading speed. Previewing voices is free.
Scene visuals, filled in
Photos and videos from your source go in first, and the remaining scenes get free stock or AI images. You can also build a video from footage you shot.
A timeline editor
Adjust scenes, captions, and music on a timeline, add scenes, or regenerate a line of narration. 267 sound effects are built in.
AI clipping

One long video, many short clips

For videos with talking, like interviews, lectures, and podcasts, AI reads the dialogue and picks the highlights.

  • AI mode suggests up to 8 highlights per analysis. In manual mode, you cut the ranges yourself.
  • Keep clip length automatic (20–90s) or choose a range up to 180s.
  • Add videos up to 3 hours long and analyze only the part you need.
  • Cut silences, speed up playback, and open with the strongest moment as a highlight hook.
  • Speech is transcribed into captions automatically, or bring your own SRT or VTT file.

AI picks highlights from what people say, so videos without speech can't be analyzed.

Same style, every video

Save your title, captions, logo, and outro in a template, and every new video comes out in your brand style.

  • Style each line of the two-line top title separately. Pick a template and AI writes the words.
  • Save caption styles, animations, and how many characters fit on a line.
  • Layer your logo, images, or background music, and add an outro at the end.
  • Start from ready-made templates: 12 for long-video clips and 5 for Reels/Shorts.

Editing a template never changes videos you've already made.

Both Reels/Shorts and long-video clips are made as 1080×1920 vertical videos up to 3 minutes long. Each clip from a long video runs 20–180 seconds, and the original can be up to 3 hours long.

Scripts, narration, and captions for Reels/Shorts can be made in 11 languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian, and Dutch.

Only use material you have the rights to. You'll be asked to confirm this before you start. Reels/Shorts writes a new script from your source, but long-video clips use the original picture and sound, so use videos you shot yourself or have permission to use.
